Victims Resource Center Counselor/Advocates have been helping victims of crime for over 50 years. Here is how one victim described their experience, “What I found helpful about services is the continued emotional support, continued support for my children and me during the numerous court hearings. The comfort and calmness of counselor, her knowledge base, and her impact were all helpful.”

Victims Resource Center staff are dedicated to the mission and passionately committed to serving crime victims. This is reflected in the quality of services that are provided as each individual is treated with dignity and respect.

SAVE THE DATE! VICTIMS RESOURCE CENTER 41st ANNUAL GERANIUM DAY SALE

The Victim Resource Center’s 41st Annual Geranium Day Sale will take place at our 3 offices–May 5th in Tunkhannock, May 6th in Wilkes-Barre and May 7th in Lehighton. Orders for the beautiful pink or red flowers are being taken now until April 30th with proceeds benefiting programs and services in Carbon, Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. The donation per plant is $5.00.

“Victims Resource Center has been selling Geraniums just before Mother’s Day for the past 41 years.  The proceeds from this annual event are used to ensure that victims of crime here in our community continue to have critical programs and services.  We hope you will join us by purchasing flowers for Mother’s Day or for your own garden.  Even a small contribution can make a big difference” stated Michele Wolf, Chief Executive Officer of the agency.

• Volunteer –View our Volunteer Opportunities or contact infovrc@vrcnepa.org to learn first hand what it is like to volunteer.
• Find out what’s on the agency’s wish list, and organize a collection among your friends, neighbors or co-workers.
• Organize a Dress Down Day at your place of business and donate the proceeds to support VRC.
• If you are having a birthday, wedding or anniversary celebration, ask your guests to donate to VRC instead of bringing gifts.
• Invite someone from VRC to speak at your church, service club or workplace. Contact the education department at 570-823-0766, extension 105.
• Get brochures from VRC and place them in lounges and rest rooms at your workplace, gym, and place of worship.
• Ask your place of business or place of worship to support the annual geranium sale in May of each year.
• Ask candidates for public office and elected representatives how they plan to address the crimes of violence in your community.
